DIY Hair Chain.

I think Kim Kardashian is stunning & 99% of the time is wearing something I would want in my closet! Recently on her blog she posted a few pictures of a HAIR CHAIN she designed for Pascal Mouawad’s new line ‘Belle Noel’. This is what it looks like…

I really REALLY like it! I think it’s very unique compared to the other hair accessories out there. But, as it’s not launched yet I thought I’d have a god at making my own :)

Yep, you guessed it! I ended up using some of my NECKLACES I’ve got :) I thought I could drape them over my pony tail & secure them with hair grips.

Here, you can see them better :) I used a variety of different necklaces but I found, for me, the longer they are the better! But if you have short hair the short ones would work much better for you.

This is what they look like on. I haven’t secured any of them on my hair as I was just taking pictures of them but they’re very easy grip.

This gold one above has to be my favourite! The necklace is actually VINTAGE & long enough to look really nice! But you really can use any necklaces you have at home for this!

If your hair’s SHORT or has got lots of LAYERS it might not look right. Mine’s fairly long & my layers are actually growing out! But, I’m loving the look of these DIY hair chains… I don’t know if I have the guts to wear it out but as it’s party season I’m sure I’ll give it a try :)

What are your thoughts on hair chains? LOVE or LOATHE? Do you think it’ll catch on or is it a waste of time?

Oh this is such a brilliant idea! I wish I could do something like this but I can’t get my hair in a nice ponytail because it’s so thick and layered. Looks amazing on you though :) x

    Hi Kaushal!.

Ok..very creative idea, but i think it makes ‘one’ look like a hoochie mama…sorry!! BUT, going with your chunky necklaces idea, how about you wrap them round your scrunchie…would bling it up somewhat :) xx

    Hi Kaushal:
How are you? Do you have a websie where we can purchase some of your hair chain accessories. I have seen a few sites and the products were a bit expensive- ranging $30 to $40.
    Thanks,
    Val
