Detox Diary: Day 1

I’m sitting here in my room…. Whilst my lovely mummy is making some YUMMY Indian food in the kitchen… That’s pretty much been my day today in a nutshell LOL! Okay, let’s start at the beginning! I made my special maple syrup drink in the morning ready & excited to start the day!

I will post a picture of the drink itself tomorrow… FYI, it doesn’t look very drinkable!

So, throughout the day 1 I’ve felt quite good. Apart from the food teasing! I mean drinking JUST this does make you think about food & eating just a TAD more than the usual! & if you come from a family like mine, FOOD is a hot topic… ALL day, EVERY day! My food teasing consisted of…

  • My mum making food in the kitchen
  • My aunt offering some of her home-made GORGEOUS Gujarati food!
  • Domino’s sending me pizza offers through the post
  • & in general, just others eating nice smelling food near me! LOL

Other than that… Today has been a GOOD day :) I’ve been drinking the maple syrup & lemon juice all day (just under 2 litres) & am going to have some peppermint tea in just a sec ;) Although… The CAYENNE pepper is NASTY! It’s got a kick to it and just doesn’t take right in the syrup & lemon juice combo! But, it’s gotta be done! I will keep an eye out for my skin, nails, hair & eyes to see if I see any difference in any of them… Seeing as the detox claims to be good for them!

I have also been peeing every 20-30 minutes! (I’m sure you all wanted to know that)… But that’s just what happens during a detox. It’s you’re body’s way of getting rid of all the “GUNK” out of your system :)

Oh also! I forgot to mention, I may have some VERY GOOD NEWS coming up in my life!! I will blog & tweet about it, as soon as it’s final!! EEKS!! I can’t wait to share it with you :)
