I’m one of those dummies that can very easily get sucked into big hype around certain products (especially when I see them on the Daily Mail - we’ve all been there!). Nothing had caught my eye in MAC for a long time until I saw the Riri Loves Mac fall collection. I got my hands on literally the last 2 products they had ‘me’ written all over them.
Hibiscus Kiss Powder Blush Duo £23
Riri Woo Lipstick £16.50
Gone are the days where MAC lipsticks were thirteen odd pounds and powders that were less than £20. If you know me, you’ll know that I love a bit of gold and rose gold. So in a weird way the packaging totally sucked me in!
Now, I don’t own a full Ruby Woo MAC lippy, apart from what’s in a MAC Pro Lipstick palette so I was quite excited to get my hands on this. Along with a bit of cheek action - who doesn’t love a contour buddy? Below are some Hibiscus Kiss swatches and a Riri Woo swatch.
Hibiscis Kiss is fairly heavily swatched. It’s fair to say, if you’re new to contouring/bronzing and blusher, this is totally for you. It’s light enough with great buildable qualities. I will probably wear this as a day cheek combo As for Riri Woo, I absolutely am in awe of it. It’s a cool, matte red shade with a slight hint of blood orange in there to add a bit of dimension. I LOVE the shade and it look’s beautiful and classic on. It has great lasting power but is drying, as are all MAC’s matte lippies. But with a good base like Dr. Lipp’s Nipple Balm For Lips (read my review HERE), you’re good to go!
I couldn’t let this post go without a FOTD to show you just what the look like on I’m wearing the following products:

It was a good day in MAC when I left with these as I had a little feeling I would love them both. Pretty much the entire Riri Loves MAC collection is out of stock at the moment. However, my fingers and toes are crossed that the MAC people are listening because we need a massive restock to happen - stat!
Did you manage to pick anything up from the Riri Loves Mac fall collection? I really wish I got my hands on ‘Talk That Talk’ lippy, but it’s sold out everywhere. I also can’t bring myself to paying over double the amount on eBay!
Kaushal

Unfortunately nothing really suits me from that collection

Your makeup always looks so gorgeous. I didn’t buy anything from the RiRi collection but I did recently purchase Ruby Woo (finally!) and I know the two are pretty much identical. Very excited to get lots of use out of it this fall/winter! xo
