Skincare | Elizabeth Arden Eight Hour Cream

If you follow me (whether thats on my blog, Twitter or Instagram) you’ll know that I’m currently in America. Unfortunately, I’m nowhere near the equator - I’m actually in Minneapolis where it’s been absolutely freezing. We’ve reached lows of -27 to be somewhat exact! I know England has been very cold, so thought this blog post would be helpful to a lot of us out there :) Generally, my skin back at home in England can get a little dry in the winter, but I came prepared. Today, I’m going to be doing a review of the Elizabeth Arden Eight Hour Cream.

Elizabeth Arden Eight Hour Cream RRP: £20 available HERE.

This little tube of goodness is a multi-purpose cream - who doesn’t love a multi purpose product, right? It can be used for the following:

  • SKIN SAVIOUR – Protects skin from drying wind, central heating and air conditioning. It soothes, restores, calms and helps with roughness, redness, chapped, cracked or dry skin. It can also be used after shaving/waxing!
  • SHINE – it can be used to adds shine to eyelids, cheeks, lips and legs.
  • BROW FACTOR – use it as a brow fit to create a perfectly defined arches (or for those cockroach eyebrows!) that’ll stay in place all day.
  • PRETTY HANDS – for rough, dry cuticles keeping them smooth, supple and wonderfully manicured.
  • THE F WORD – Smooth rough, dry, cracking heels and soften your overall soles for gorgeous looking feet!
  • POST-SUN SOOTHER – great as an after-sun treatment, relieving minor sun burns and/or calm an dry, irritated and sun-exposed skin.
  • FLIGHT AID – can be used as an intensive hydrating treatment that’ll boost skin’s in-flight moisture level no matter where you go!

I’d say this is more of a balm due to its consistency. It’s very thickmoisturising and non-sticky. The colour is also dark orange (which isn’t the norm for most ‘creams’). I’ve got the fragranced version, because I don’t mind the medicinal smell. I found the fragrance free version to smell somewhat ‘gone off’ (VOM!). I’d recommend to smell them both before buying.

I’ve been using this almost every night & I can confirm that my skin is not dry in the slightest! It’s perfectly moisturised :) I was worried as I knew it would be very cold which means the heating would be on full blast but luckily my Eight Hour Cream has saved the day! I don’t think this is something I’d reach for in the summer but has definitely been my winter skin saviour this year.

Have you tried the Elizabeth Arden Eight Hour Cream? Do you love it as much as I do? What are you using on your skin this winter?
